I was raised at the mouth of Pigeon Roost in Martin County. My Pa El (my grandpa) lived across the road from me. He would often go up in the head of Pigeon Roost and watch for bees and later go back to rob the honey. As we would sit on a rock or log he would see a bee going and would say, "There it goes up on that pint (this is known as the point or the top of the hill). Then we would often try to follow the bee up on the pint so he would know where to go back.
